I have a picture of a thompson with a suppressor somewhere from an ausie movie props website. The suppresser is like a grease gun.

See, while I personally don't like that, I do appreciate the work done on it, as it has been done well, and actually looks oddly cool.
But there is another way to go here. Rather than bemoaning all the M4 owners who feel the need to modernise vintage gear, lets take the power back and vintage-ize the modern world...
I'm considering making some wooden furniture for my M4, and that has just helped inspire me a bit more!
